Hiatus is Natural
Hiatus is produced using a proprietary extraction method that extracts the natural cannabinoids and terpenes without the use of chemicals. We call our process "whole plant extraction" as we remove all the natural ingredients without disrupting the balance of natural rations. Once the water-soluble hemp powder is extracted, we suspend it in vegetable glycerin, along with a blue color and a single preservative. Our product can now be added to any beverage!

Legally, hemp is defined as a cannabis plant that contains less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight, while “marijuana” is a cannabis plant that contains more than 0.3% Delta-9 THC. CBD can be derived from both hemp and cannabis plants.Hemp and marijuana are both derived from Cannabis sativa, but hemp contains 0.3% or less THC naturally, making it legal under the 2018 Farm Bill. Marijuana, in contrast, has higher THC concentrations naturally, between 5% to 30%, making it illegal at the federal level, though some states allow its use.
Hiatus is made by extracting THC and CBD from hemp in a similar manner that distilled spirits are manufactured. Our proprietary extraction method produces a dry cannabinoid powder that is natural and free of chemicals and solvents. The dry powder or "isolate" is blended with a liquid to produce a beverage or beverage concentrate.
